I recently had the privilege to visit Syria with a charity organisation called Action For Humanity. AFH are the largest NGO operating in Syria providing clean water, food, shelter, healthcare and education for millions of Syrians.

Since the conflict in Syria started in 2011, more than six million people have been displaced and over one million are now living in tents. The tragedy was made worse last year following the earthquake in neighbouring Türkiye which destroyed millions more homes across the region. During my visit I got to see the devastation first hand and the impact this has had on the lives of people, especially your children.

I was extremely impressed by the work that AFH do and in particular, I learnt about their New Village project. This project seeks to build 750 houses, complete with medical centre, school and shops. Each house provides 2 bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen and costs just £2,500. The village will provide a home to 750 families and give hope to 4,000 people whose lives have been destroyed by years of conflict. AFH have already built two villages and are now raising funds for the third.

As part of our commitment to support this project, Invatech Health, has donated £54,000 to fully fund a new medical centre in the village. The centre will include a pharmacy and will provide healthcare services – including clinics for gynaecology, internal disease, paediatrics, dentistry, physiotherapy, radiography and pharmacy (complete with Titan PMR of course!).

We hope that businesses will now join us in supporting this village project. Our target is to raise a further £125,000 to build 50 homes. However, any donation no matter how small is welcome and will be gratefully received.

In todays climate, there are so many desperate causes competing for our attention, time and money. There are so many conflicts in the middle east, one barely knows where to begin but the Syrian cause is one that we feel deserves our support.
